Atlas For Men, the French distance-selling specialist, has achieved remarkable growth in 2020, generating a revenue of €241 million. This impressive growth of 13% can largely be attributed to a substantial 40% increase in online sales. Established by Marc Delamarre in 1999, the company is now setting its sights on expanding into the lucrative North American market.

With a customer base of 7 million spread across 12 European markets, Atlas For Men has firmly entrenched itself in the distance-selling industry. Despite experiencing a sharp 50% drop in sales during the first lockdown in France, the company was able to bounce back by June as orders surged. Alongside the surge in online sales, Atlas For Men has also witnessed a doubling in the business of its marketplace.

Apart from France, Atlas For Men is actively operating in various European countries including Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the Netherlands, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Russia, and the UK. While annual sales in Russia witnessed a 14% decline, the UK market saw a remarkable increase of 70%, generating €20 million in revenue compared to €12.5 million in 2019. This growth in the UK market was likely further bolstered by the deployment of Atlas For Men’s marketplace at the end of 2020.

Riding the wave of success in the UK market, Atlas For Men is now eyeing expansion beyond its “European comfort zone” and aiming to penetrate the promising North American market in 2021. The company plans to conquer both Canada and the USA, leveraging its competitive pricing and market positioning to attract local customers. In order to achieve this ambitious goal, Atlas For Men intends to expedite its digitalization process, meticulously analyze metrics, implement a CSR strategy, and introduce new working practices through its innovation hub, the Lab. The company also intends to launch an iconic limited-edition collection to keep customers engaged and excited.

Looking ahead to 2022, Atlas For Men has set a target to become a recognized global player in men’s apparel and outdoor/lifestyle accessories, aiming for a revenue of €300 million. By venturing into the North American market and continuing to innovate in the realms of digitalization and sustainability, Atlas For Men is poised for sustained growth and success in the years to come.
