AYBL Group, the popular women’s activewear brand, is about to receive a significant boost in the form of a substantial investment from Lewis Morgan, co-founder of Gymshark. This investment comes at a time when AYBL is already valued at an impressive £50 million, and is expected to fuel the brand’s expansion plans even further. After leaving Gymshark 15 months ago, Morgan will now take on the role of group executive chairman at AYBL, with the vision of transforming it into the largest e-commerce group in the UK. In his new position, Morgan will be responsible for overseeing the company’s strategy and will work closely with AYBL’s founders and joint CEOs, Reiss and Kristian Edgerton.

Despite being only three years old, AYBL has already achieved remarkable success, particularly in the midst of the pandemic. In the year 2020-21, the brand reported record profits of £2.8 million. Looking ahead, AYBL is projected to generate revenues exceeding £20 million and profits of £4 million in the current fiscal year, 2021-22. The brand’s global reach is also expanding, with over 400,000 orders shipped to more than 160 countries each year. AYBL’s strongest markets include the US, UK, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, and France. The brand’s impressive growth prompted the Edgerton brothers to diversify their portfolio by partnering with fashion influencer Alice Cross to launch BOA (Because of Alice), a women’s fashion brand, in June 2020.

Reiss Edgerton expressed his enthusiasm for AYBL’s continued growth, stating that the brand has consistently advanced since its inception three years ago. With the recent addition of BOA to the group and the expansion of their headquarters to meet the growing demand, Edgerton believes that now is the perfect time to bring Lewis Morgan’s expertise into the business. The founders have ambitious goals, aspiring to become the largest e-commerce group in the UK. Lewis Morgan, who sold the remainder of his stake in Gymshark last year, is eager to rejoin the industry and contribute to AYBL’s success.
