Bershka, the popular youth-oriented brand owned by Inditex, is marking its 25th anniversary with a complete makeover. Joining the ranks of its sister brands, Pull&Bear and Stradivarius, Bershka has revealed a fresh new logo and an updated corporate identity.

For the first time ever, Bershka has opted for a logo change. Collaborating with Berlin-based company Dinamo Typefaces, renowned for their typography and branding expertise, the brand now boasts uppercase letters in a bold design, following in the footsteps of Pull&Bear’s recent logo update. Bershka has chosen the typography ABC Whyte to represent its new identity.

Alongside the new logo, Bershka is bringing back its iconic ‘BSK’ logo, but with a modern and contoured format, specifically to strengthen its teenage line. This line will be separate from the brand’s collections for men and women.

Bershka’s rebranding is part of a larger strategy by Inditex to refresh and align its brands, led by Marta Ortega, the company’s heiress. Similar rebranding efforts were also undertaken last year by both Pull&Bear and Stradivarius. Even the flagship brand, Zara, altered its logo in 2019, only the second change in its 44-year history.

The new Bershka identity has already been unveiled on the brand’s online store and social media platforms. Additionally, visitors to the physical store in Colombo, Lisbon will notice the updated logo and identity. Going forward, Bershka plans to gradually introduce the new image into new stores and renovations.

Since its establishment in April 1998, Bershka has expanded to 860 stores across 69 countries. It holds the second position in Inditex’s brand portfolio in terms of revenue, just behind Zara. In the previous fiscal year alone, Bershka recorded sales of €2.384 billion, contributing 7.3% to the total revenue of Inditex.

In the same period, Inditex as a whole saw its revenue increase by 17.5%, reaching €32.569 billion. With its fresh new identity, Bershka aims to maintain its success and continue to appeal to its target audience of young fashion enthusiasts.
