Estée Lauder, the renowned American cosmetics brand, recently made a significant move by debuting on QVC through a livestream event on March 16. This development is the result of an expanded partnership between Estée Lauder and the multiplatform shopping ecosystem.

Although Estée Lauder had previously launched on the QVC e-commerce platform in April of last year, the brand has now deepened its collaboration with the retailer by expanding its presence across all QVC U.S. platforms. This includes three broadcast channels, various streaming services, social media platforms, mobile apps, and a website.

During its livestream debut on QVC, Estée Lauder showcased two of its popular products, namely the Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Multi-Recovery Complex and Advanced Night Repair Eye Concentrate Matrix. Representing the brand at the event was Maggie Turner, the executive director of education, special events, and artistry for Estée Lauder and Aerin Beauty.

Claudia Benshimol, the Senior Vice President and General Manager for Estée Lauder and Aerin Beauty in North America, expressed her excitement about the expanded partnership. She emphasized how QVC enables Estée Lauder to deliver a high-quality consumer experience across online, digital, and broadcast channels. Benshimol also highlighted the importance of adapting to the modern consumer landscape and reaching customers wherever they are.

Estée Lauder’s expansion on QVC follows in the footsteps of another brand owned by The Estée Lauder Companies Inc., MAC Cosmetics. MAC Cosmetics successfully launched on QVC’s digital and mobile platforms in June 2020 before expanding to its broadcast and streaming channels in September.

The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. has reported strong financial performance, with a 5% increase in net sales to $4.85 billion for the second quarter ended December 31, 2020, compared to the same period the previous year. Moreover, the company’s quarterly net earnings reached $873 million, or $2.37 per diluted share, up from $557 million, or $1.52 per diluted share, in the prior-year period.

QVC serves as a powerful platform for Estée Lauder, with its broadcast channels reaching 94 million homes in the U.S. Additionally, the retailer operates globally, with operations in the U.K., Germany, Japan, Italy, and China through a joint venture. With 13 broadcast networks covering approximately 380 million households worldwide, along with various websites, mobile apps, and social media pages, QVC provides extensive reach and opportunities for Estée Lauder.

The livestream debut of Estée Lauder on QVC signifies an important milestone in the brand’s efforts to expand its reach and engage with consumers through multiple channels. This partnership demonstrates Estée Lauder’s commitment to meeting customer demand and adapting to the ever-evolving retail market.
