UK-based online beauty brand, Feelunique, has had a highly successful festive season, positioning it to surpass £100 million in sales and achieve positive core earnings for this year. The company experienced a remarkable 39% increase in sales, reaching £28 million, during the 12-week period leading up to January 3. Additionally, sales through Feelunique’s third-party marketplace saw significant growth compared to the previous year. The brand’s international sales were also strong, with a remarkable 168% increase in US revenues, as well as growth in Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa.

Notably, Feelunique witnessed a 41% growth in active customers during the festive trading period, reaching an impressive 1.3 million. Skincare emerged as the best-performing category, with a substantial sales increase of 57%. This surge in demand for retinol-based and dermatologist-approved lines indicated that customers were seeking professional-standard treatments to use at home during the lockdown. Feelunique’s Christmas advent calendar, which provided customers with over £270 worth of beauty products for just £89, proved immensely popular, with over 10,000 units sold. Despite the absence of Christmas parties and consumers being confined to their homes, makeup sales still achieved double-digit growth. Additionally, skincare and haircare products also experienced significant boosts in sales.

CEO Sarah Miles expressed her satisfaction with the strong sales performance during the season and highlighted that it has been a transformative year for Feelunique. The brand has witnessed rapid revenue growth and attracted a considerable number of new customers over the past 12 months. This growth has been supported by investments in technology and the expansion of the brand portfolio available on their platform. With a promising outlook, Feelunique is on track to surpass £100 million in sales and achieve positive EBITDA for the financial year ending on March 31. In the upcoming year, the company plans to further enhance its platform by adding more brands and exclusive ranges. Additionally, Feelunique aims to drive sales through its expanding marketplace channel while expanding its presence in target international markets.
