Nick Beighton, the former CEO of ASOS, has reportedly been appointed as the chairman of Secret Sales, the off-price e-tailer experiencing significant growth. The company has seen a sales growth of over 150% in the past year, thanks to its expansion internationally and the addition of new brands to its platform. Secret Sales has become a popular choice for high-end brands seeking to sell surplus stock while maintaining control over pricing and branding.

After leaving ASOS last year, Beighton praised Secret Sales for its innovative approach. He noted that the platform not only sees excess stock as a means of cash recovery but also offers a sustainable off-price solution that aligns with the retailer’s overall pricing strategy.

Secret Sales has not only grown within the UK, but it has also expanded to Belgium and the Netherlands. CEO Chris Griffin aims to further establish Secret Sales as the biggest marketplace for non-full-price fashion worldwide by entering 12 more markets in the next two years.

An official announcement regarding Beighton’s appointment as chairman of Secret Sales is expected later this week.
