Ganni, the popular Danish fashion brand, is expanding its product offering with the launch of its new sports line called “Ganni Sport”. This exciting addition complements the brand’s existing categories of fashion, footwear, and accessories. Ganni has been increasingly focused on the athleisure segment, with previous ventures into activewear such as the “Ganni Klub” collection in 2021 and a collaboration with Ssense for a sports capsule.

The Ganni Sport collection made its debut in February and is available for purchase through the brand’s website and physical stores. It consists of 30 responsible and high-performance sport styles that are specifically designed for rigorous training. These pieces are all crafted from recycled nylon and polyester, showcasing Ganni’s commitment to sustainability. The line aims to cater to individuals with active lifestyles, offering a wide range of basic activewear items like leggings, shorts, tops, and t-shirts. Additionally, it features trendier looks such as retro-inspired technical tracksuits, cropped dresses, and sweatshirts with mesh logos.

Positioned in the accessible premium segment, the Ganni Sport collection is priced between 110 to 145 euros. What sets this collection apart is its incorporation of unique microfiber construction, which not only supports the body’s natural cooling system but also provides a seamless fit and feel. The color palette of the collection combines neutral tones of black, grey, and white with vibrant pops of color like bright green and yellow. These colors are showcased through various color blocking techniques and holographic prints. Additionally, the brand’s iconic leopard print is featured on tops and leggings, while the classic Ganni logo is incorporated in a sportswear style.

Ditte Reffstrup, the creative director of Ganni, has expressed her dedication to creating a versatile collection that reflects the active lifestyle in Copenhagen. Whether it’s cycling around town, going to the gym, practicing yoga, or taking long walks, Ganni Sport aims to accommodate different forms of movement and make them exciting and enjoyable.

In addition to the Ganni Sport line, the brand has recently introduced a new vegan bag made from an innovative material composed of 48% oranges and cacti, along with 52% recycled plastics. This sustainable approach exemplifies Ganni’s commitment to using cutting-edge materials and minimizing its environmental impact.

Founded in 2009 by Nicolaj and Ditte Reffstrup, Ganni has evolved into an internationally recognized brand. It boasts over 40 company-owned shops, more than 600 points of sale, and offices in prominent cities like Copenhagen, London, New York, Paris, and Shanghai. Since 2017, Ganni has been owned by LVMH’s private equity arm, L Catterton. The brand’s e-commerce platform is currently accessible in 35 countries worldwide, and in the 2021 financial year, Ganni achieved a turnover of 120 million euros.
