Giambattista Valli, the luxury fashion house, has announced the appointment of Charlotte Werner as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). With the backing of its recent investor, Artémis, the brand aims to strengthen its management team and drive growth. Werner’s extensive experience and knowledge in the luxury industry, particularly in accessories and leather goods, have earned her the trust and confidence of both Giambattista Valli and Artémis. They believe that she is the perfect candidate to lead the Maison into its next phase of expansion.

Prior to joining Giambattista Valli, Werner had a successful career at Louis Vuitton, where she held various leadership positions since 2015. Her responsibilities included overseeing strategic projects for senior executive management and leading the Women’s Leather Goods Fashion collections. Before her time at Louis Vuitton, Werner worked as a consultant at McKinsey & Company, where she provided growth strategy, organization, and performance improvement services to numerous luxury clients.

Werner’s educational background includes graduating from ESSEC in 2006, which has equipped her with a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the industry. She also manages to balance her personal and professional life, being a mother of two boys.

In addition to Werner’s appointment, Sandrine Valverde, who played a crucial role in establishing the commercial organization, production, and distribution of Giambattista Valli since its inception in 2005, has been named Advisor to the President. Valverde will continue to contribute her valuable insights and expertise to the company.

Giambattista Valli is renowned for its grand Roman style infused with youthful energy, which has garnered a dedicated following for its haute couture and ready-to-wear collections. Currently, the brand has a presence in over 240 stores across 40 countries, with standalone boutiques in Beijing, Doha, Milan, Paris, and Seoul.

Although Giambattista Valli remains majority-owned by its founder and president, Giambattista Valli, the brand sold a minority stake to Artémis in 2017. Artémis, being the holding company of the Pinault family, who also control the luxury conglomerate Kering, brings valuable support and resources to the table.

With the new CEO, Charlotte Werner, at the helm, Giambattista Valli is well-positioned for further growth and success. The brand’s partnership with Artémis will undoubtedly offer the support and resources needed to expand its presence in the luxury fashion industry.
