Italian eyewear company Safilo has secured a five-year global eyewear license deal with luxury fashion brand DSquared2. Previously held by competitor Marcolin, this partnership will see Safilo take over the production of eyewear for DSquared2 under the creative direction of designers Dean and Dan Caten.

The collaboration will result in the launch of the first DSquared2 eyewear collections for the Spring/Summer 2022 season, featuring a range of sunglasses and optical frames for both men and women. These products are set to hit stores in January 2022.

As part of the agreement, Safilo will handle the design, manufacturing, and distribution of DSquared2 branded eyewear. With this new partnership, Safilo aims to strengthen its presence in the fashion luxury segment.
