Whensmokeclears, a fashion brand that was established in 2016, recently made its runway debut at the multi-designer MADE x PayPal fashion show. Although it was a joint event, this marked the first time that Whensmokeclears had its own runway show. Now, the brand is taking a step further by hosting its solo fashion show during New York Fashion Week for the Spring/Summer 2024 season.
This upcoming collection, titled “Birds Eye,” draws inspiration from the vibrant streets of New York City, which is where the brand originated. The founders and creative directors, Thermal Taveras and K$ace, present a vision of everyday city style that combines elements of sportswear and streetwear.
In this collection, you can expect to see a variety of tops, including a deep blue/black jersey and oversized crewneck sweatshirts with double layering and brand embroidery. The bottoms are equally impressive, featuring merlot-colored cargo pants with bold goldenrod i.d. tags, short shorts, and two-tone leather pants. Additionally, the collection offers coordinating sets in denim and leather fabrics, as well as a blue/white breakaway tracksuit. To end their solo debut at Spring Studios, Taveras and K$ace showcased a deep blue denim-like set with a seamlessly flowing top that almost reached the floor.
