Matchesfashion, the online luxury retailer, has recently made two key appointments in their leadership team. Stuart Hill has been hired as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO), following the appointment of Nick Beighton as CEO. Hill, previously the senior vice-president of logistics at Farfetch, will officially join Matchesfashion in September.

Hill brings an impressive 25 years of experience in senior logistics positions within the fashion, retail, and logistics industries. He has previously worked alongside Beighton at ASOS and has also held positions at John Lewis. In addition to his corporate experience, Hill has founded successful logistics companies, such as wnDirect and Lorry Route.

During his time at Farfetch, Hill was a member of the global leadership team and played a crucial role in setting the company’s global operational and logistical strategy. He also focused on improving the customer experience.

Looking forward to his new role at Matchesfashion, Hill is excited to work alongside his former boss and mentor, Beighton. He aims to expand the company’s unique offering to a wider global customer base.

Beighton, who will assume his new position as CEO in August, praises Hill’s operational impact and entrepreneurial mindset. He believes that Hill’s industry insight and extensive experience in e-commerce, global logistics, and retail will be invaluable to Matchesfashion. Beighton is eager to reunite with Hill and collaborate with the exceptional wider team, including the new CFO, Dave Murray.

The appointments of Beighton as CEO and Hill as COO position Matchesfashion for continued growth and success in the luxury online retail sector.
