In a bid to bolster growth and strengthen its team, N Brown’s key brand, Simply Be, has appointed Heidi Kenyon-Smith as its new General Manager. This appointment comes as part of the company’s broader efforts to transform and expand its talent base.

Despite being one of N Brown’s best-performing brands, Simply Be has been operating at a loss. The company’s portfolio includes three strategic brands: Simply Be, JD Williams, and Jacamo. With the addition of Kenyon-Smith, N Brown hopes to enhance the performance of Simply Be and steer it towards profitability.

Kenyon-Smith’s selection for the role stems from her extensive experience in the digital, womenswear, and media sectors. With over 20 years of industry knowledge, she previously served as Managing Director at the renowned Dentsu media agency, iProspect. N Brown recognizes the significance of Simply Be in achieving its overall strategy and success, emphasizing that Kenyon-Smith’s appointment reflects its commitment to investing in exceptional talent as it embarks on its transformation journey.

As the General Manager of Simply Be, Kenyon-Smith’s primary objective will be to accelerate growth by delivering strategic, commercial, and customer-driven outcomes. She will ensure that Simply Be offers customers an exceptional end-to-end shopping experience, fostering increased loyalty and exploring new markets to boost the brand’s financial performance. Kenyon-Smith is set to assume her role in the New Year and will report directly to Sarah Welsh, N Brown’s CEO of Retail.
