Pomellato, the prestigious Italian fine jewellery brand under Kering’s ownership, has recently taken a strategic step forward by acquiring a minority stake in Costanzo & Rizzetto, a renowned goldsmiths’ company. This move solidifies Pomellato’s presence in Valenza, a town in Italy famous for its jewellery and goldsmithery. Although the exact size of the share acquired and the investment value remain undisclosed, Pomellato refers to the deal as a “long-term partnership.”

Since its establishment in 1967, Pomellato has prided itself on its craftsmanship, manufacturing all its products at its Milan laboratory. By joining forces with Costanzo & Rizzetto, Pomellato aims to enhance its production capacity and benefit from Valenza’s expertise, a small town in Piedmont renowned for its goldsmithery. Other prominent brands such as Cartier and Bulgari, owned by LVMH, have also recognized the value of this location and established their operations there.

Costanzo & Rizzetto, founded in Valenza in 2008 by Davide Costanzo and Gregorio Rizzetto, comes from a lineage of goldsmiths with expertise in jewellery making and precious gem setting since the 1970s. The company currently collaborates with leading global jewellery brands and employs around 60 individuals. With a 1,200-square-meter facility, Costanzo & Rizzetto covers the entire jewellery production cycle, combining artisanal craftsmanship with innovation. Notably, the company showcases its proficiency in creating enamel jewellery on its website.

According to Pomellato’s Managing Director Sabina Belli, acquiring a stake in Costanzo & Rizzetto marks a crucial milestone in Pomellato’s growth. In a press release, Belli expressed her belief that the synergy between the two entities’ expertise and future collaborations will enhance Pomellato’s entire manufacturing process, contributing to its ongoing expansion.

The strategic partnership between Pomellato and Costanzo & Rizzetto represents a significant development in the fine jewellery industry. It enables Pomellato to tap into Valenza’s knowledge and capabilities while maintaining the brand’s distinguished quality and craftsmanship. As the jewellery industry continues to evolve, collaborations like this one will undoubtedly play a central role in securing future success.
