Barcelona-based bridal wear group Pronovias is teaming up with luxury fashion designer Vera Wang to introduce a new bridal collection called Vera Wang Bride. This collaboration aims to make Wang’s sought-after wedding gowns more accessible to a wider audience. Pronovias, responsible for manufacturing, distribution, and marketing, will leverage its global network of stores and wholesale accounts under a 10-year licensing agreement.

Vera Wang is a well-known name in the United States and has designed wedding gowns for numerous celebrities, including Hailey Bieber and Kim Kardashian, for both weddings and red carpet events.

The new Vera Wang Bride collection will have a significantly lower price point compared to Wang’s couture wedding gowns, with prices ranging from $1,600 to $4,000. This strategic pricing will target a broader international customer base. The collection, featuring 60 bridal gowns and 60 special occasion dresses, will launch annually starting in January 2022.

Pronovias, acquired by private equity firm BC Partners in 2017, has a strong global presence with 102 retail stores across 105 countries. Its flagship stores are strategically located in prominent cities around the world. In addition to the collaboration with Vera Wang, Pronovias also owns other bridal brands such as Marchesa for Pronovias, Ashley Graham for Pronovias, House of St. Patrick, White One, Nicole, and Ladybird.

Previously, Vera Wang had a licensing deal with David’s Bridal, which ended in 2020. Currently, she has collections with Men’s Wearhouse, Zales, and Kohl’s. The partnership with Pronovias will result in changes to Wang’s seasonal bridal line, as it plans to rename the high-end collection as Vera Wang Haute to differentiate it from the new Vera Wang Bride line.
