Red Luxury, a well-known specialist in watches and jewellery, has recently expanded its brand portfolio through new global license deals. The company, founded by Romain Bénichou and David-Emmanuel Cohen, has already acquired a majority stake in US jewellery brand The M Jewelers in June. Now, they have added two more brands to their licensing deals: beachwear brand Vilebrequin and French label Sonia Rykiel.

The license agreement allows Red Luxury to develop a collection of watches for Vilebrequin in France. With a range of 50 items for both men and women, including various unisex models, the watches will be priced between €179 and €359. The collection will be available in summer 2023 at Vilebrequin monobrand stores, select specialist stores, and department stores. This collaboration is an exciting move for Vilebrequin, which recently signed a license agreement for fragrances and body care products as well.

In addition to the Vilebrequin deal, Red Luxury will also create a collection of brass costume jewellery for Sonia Rykiel. The collection will feature around 50 items divided into four lines, all inspired by vintage designs and the label’s iconic motifs such as the clover, heart, and bird. These jewellery pieces will be distributed starting from summer 2023, and will be available at Sonia Rykiel stores, online, as well as select jewellers and department stores. The retail prices for these pieces will range from €100 to €450. This new license agreement is part of Sonia Rykiel’s strategy to relaunch the brand, with plans to expand into eyewear, makeup, and home decoration in the near future.

Red Luxury, which was founded in Paris in 2012, boasts an impressive portfolio of licensed brands including Zadig & Voltaire, Christian Lacroix, Opex, and Rochas. Currently, 70% of the company’s revenue comes from independently developed and distributed jewellery brands. Noteworthy brands in their portfolio include Ginette NY, Pamela Love, and Reminiscence. Red Luxury is projected to generate €40 million in revenue in 2022, with plans to reach €100 million within the next five years.

With this expansion of their brand portfolio, Red Luxury solidifies its position as a prominent player in the watches and jewellery market. Their successful licensing deals and plans for future growth set them up to establish themselves even further as a leader in the industry.
