Reliance, the largest retailer in India, has announced a partnership with Gap Inc to introduce the renowned U.S. clothing retailer’s brands to the Indian market. This move showcases Reliance’s commitment to expanding its presence in the thriving Indian consumer market.

Under the long-term franchise agreement, Reliance plans to sell Gap merchandise through a combination of exclusive brand stores, multi-brand outlets, and e-commerce platforms. The aim of this collaboration, as emphasized by Reliance Retail, is to leverage Gap’s reputation as a leading casual lifestyle brand.

While the financial details of the deal have not been disclosed, this partnership comes shortly after Reliance revealed its plans to bring Pret A Manger, the popular British sandwich and coffee chain, to India. Reliance also has existing partnerships with luxury brands like Burberry.
