Swap Versace with Fendi: ‘Fendace’ is Born.
The "Swap" produced a great baby name: Fendace
This Sunday September 26, in the greatest discretion, to close Milan Fashion Week, the collection co-signed by the houses Versace and Fendi is undoubtedly the best way to end a busy week in style. Called “The Swap“, Donatella Versace delivered her interpretation of the Fendi codes, and Kim Jones, those of Versace.
While it was still just a rumor two days ago, this incredible Versace x Fendi has actually happened. The unique partnership follows in the footsteps of Balenciaga and Gucci’s hack (Gucciaga) which landed on the runway earlier this year. Versace has already made a first show on Friday, but had not declared that a second would be added to close Milan Fashion Week.
On the model side, it was an A-List: the historical Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss, her daughter Lila Grace Moss, Amber Valletta, Adut Akech, Emily Ratajkowski, Gigi Hadid, Shalom Harlow, Imaan Hammam or even Karen Elson.
The show was full of surprises. The Fendi logo adorned the famous Versace’s signature baroque print, while the Versace Medusa rubs shoulders with the double F on gold chains or signature Versace pins.
This is definitely a show we won’t forget anytime soon but leaves us with a big question: who are going to collaborate next?
