Biography
Amina Muaddi is a renowned shoe designer known for her unique designs and innovative styles. She was born in Romania in 1987 to a Romanian mother and a Jordanian father. Her family later moved to Italy before settling in Lebanon where she grew up.
Growing up, Amina showed a keen interest in fashion and design, and after completing her high school education in Lebanon, she moved to Florence, Italy to study at the European Institute of Design. It was during this time that she developed a passion for shoe design and decided to pursue a career in the field.
After completing her studies, Amina moved to Paris where she worked as a freelance stylist and graphic designer. She then moved to Dubai where she worked for luxury brands like Alexandre Vauthier and Sergio Rossi before launching her own brand, Amina Muaddi, in 2018.
Amina’s designs are unique, bold and innovative, blending Middle Eastern and European influences to create shoes that are both fashionable and functional. Her designs have been worn by celebrities such as Rihanna, Kendall Jenner, and Gigi Hadid, among others, and have graced the pages of top fashion magazines like Vogue, Elle, and Harper’s Bazaar.
In 2019, Amina was named Footwear Designer of the Year at the Footwear News Achievement Awards, and her brand quickly gained popularity among fashion lovers around the world. Her signature design feature is the flared heel, which has become a trademark of the brand.
Amina is also a champion of sustainability and works hard to ensure that her brand adheres to ethical and eco-friendly practices. Her shoes are made of high-quality materials and are designed to last, reducing the environmental impact of fast fashion.
