Balenciaga, despite facing challenges, was acknowledged for having the Fashion Show of the Year with its Haute Couture offering. Searches for the brand skyrocketed by 525% in the 24 hours following the show.

The report also observed the impact of celebrities and influencers in the fashion world. Barbiecore emerged as the top trend of 2022, while Bella Hadid was recognized as the top power dresser. Sydney Sweeney was named the rising star of the year, and Kim Kardashian’s red carpet moment at The Met Gala in a Bob Mackie dress caused a surge in searches for the brand.

Finally, Lyst emphasized the top screen style moment, which was Elizabeth Debicki’s portrayal of Princess Diana in The Crown. This portrayal introduced a new generation to Princess Diana as a fashion icon.
