Best time to visit Asia
In spring, some parts of Asia have not yet entered the monsoon season, and are living the end of their dry season. Others experience scorching temperatures and unbearable humidity in April. You will therefore have to choose your destination according to these geographical variations: India can be visited again in March, as well as Nepal which is then very sunny, favorable for a trek. During the month of April you can easily travel to Vietnam, Cambodia, Japan and the Philippines, but the rest of Asia is starting to really suffer from the heat. The end of spring is favorable for Bali and certain areas of China. All in all, it’s best to avoid Asia as early as May.
In summer, many parts of Asia are in the middle of a monsoon season, with the associated inconveniences: very high humidity, strong winds that can turn into typhoons or cyclones, often suffocating heat waves. Indonesia is probably the only area to be spared, as well as Japan.
In autumn, it is the end of the period of the monsoons, whose influence is gradually disintegrating over the whole of the territory concerned. However, southern China can experience the presence of devastating typhoons.
In winter, it is the right time to go to Asia: resplendent sun and very pleasant, milder temperatures are present in Thailand, Burma, Vietnam, India and southern China, as well as ‘in Sri Lanka. The Philippines was then sheltered from typhoons.
