Uniqlo, the renowned Japanese clothing brand under Fast Retailing, has reported a surge in sales for its Japanese stores in January. Same-store sales, which include online purchases, witnessed a 2% increase compared to the previous year, while total sales rose by 1.8%. Uniqlo attributes this growth to consistently cold weather throughout the month, as well as the popularity of stay-at-home clothing and other related items.
