Victoria’s Secret, one of the most well-known lingerie brands, is gearing up to expand its footprint in Europe thanks to a new collaboration with Italian company Percassi. The plan is to double the number of Victoria’s Secret stores in Europe by 2025. Vera Bortolato, the general manager of Percassi Retail, recently spoke to FashionNetwork.com about the future of this partnership.

Bortolato revealed that the expansion will involve the opening of new stores in France, Spain, Italy, and Portugal. The company is also exploring possibilities to enter new markets. Despite the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic and the various restrictions, Victoria’s Secret remains optimistic about its performance. The brand recognizes the importance of attracting tourists from Eastern Europe, the Middle East, China, and Russia, who have been loyal customers in the past.

Percassi’s commitment to Victoria’s Secret is evident by their investment in the brand and the European markets. In order to strengthen their omnichannel strategy and enhance customer service, Percassi will be launching a dedicated beauty and accessories website for the Italian, French, and Spanish markets in April 2021.

Besides their expansion plans, Victoria’s Secret has been focusing on supporting women through partnerships that seek to make a positive impact on their lives. The Victoria’s Secret Collective, led by ambassadors Bella Hadid and Hailey Bieber, aims to create collections with revolutionary products and engaging content. Prominent figures such as Adut Akech, Amanda de Cadenet, Eileen Gu, Megan Rapinoe, Paloma Elsesser, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and Valentina Sampaio have already joined the collective. Another initiative, the Victoria’s Secret Global Fund for Women’s Cancers, in partnership with Pelotonia, aims to fund research and innovation for women’s cancers.

Bortolato emphasized that Victoria’s Secret is committed to understanding and meeting the needs of women, both in terms of size inclusivity and from a social perspective. The brand has set a goal of donating $5 million annually to the Global Fund for Women’s Cancers.

Since teaming up with Percassi in 2015, Victoria’s Secret has successfully opened four stores in France. The brand plans to launch another location at the Westfield Les 4 Temps mall in La Défense, Paris, in the second half of 2022. Currently, Victoria’s Secret operates eight boutiques in Spain and 18 in Italy, encompassing flagship stores, outlet stores, and beauty and accessories stores. The Galleria del Corso store in Milan, which spans 2,000 square meters, is the first to offer the brand’s entire product range. Overall, Victoria’s Secret has a presence in 1,600 stores worldwide.
